    Jabatan Perbendaharaan adalah salah satu jabatan di bawah Majlis Bandaraya Pulau Pinang yang bertanggungjawab dalam kutipan hasil Majlis menurut peruntukan-peruntukan undang-undang kecil untuk mendapat hasil.

  • Objective

    Untuk memastikan pengurusan kewangan Majlis dilaksanakan dengan efisien & efektif, selaras dengan matlamat Majlis kearah mewujudkan perkhidmatan yang cekap & berkualiti.

  • Function
    1. Organize budget and account such as salary payments, supplier/contractor payments, refunds, establish budget, and closing account.

    2. Manage financial issues such as acquisition, services, investments, and asset acquisition and disposition.

    3. Collect council revenue such as assessment rates,compounds, cyberdebt, payment

  • Clients Charter
    1. Assessment tax bills will be prepared and mailed to each assessment tax payer twice a year, on or before January 10 and July 10.

    2. Assessment Tax Notices are prepared and delivered by post to each assessment tax payer twice (2) times a year, which is before April 10 for payments for February and October 10 for payments for August.

    3. The average waiting time at the payment counter for each transaction per bill is twenty (20) minutes during peak times and ten (10) minutes during off-peak times.

    4. Payments to Council suppliers and contractors will be processed and payments via EFT will be completed within seven (7) days from the date an invoice is received in full from the department for payment

    5. An Inspection Report on the number of car spaces and Control Time signs in the parking lot will be provided every week.

    6. Preparation of Annual Accounts is finalized in March of the year.

    7. Staff vehicle and computer loans will be processed within two (2) weeks from the date of application if a complete application is received.

    8. Provide payment within fourteen (14) days.

    9. Complaints received will be acted upon within two (2) working days and an answer will be given within three (3) working days from the date of receipt of the complaint
